The "Best Estonian Rally Team 2006-2007" title holders Urmo Aava and Kuldar Sikk signed recently a contract with Citroën Sport, the team responsible for the several world titles of actual World Champion Sebastian Loeb. The Estonians will drive a Citroën C4 WRC in 10 WRC events and will make a national appearance during the summer in their "South Estonian Rally". Also several test sessions are planned in order to make as much as possible kilometers in the car and with the team.
Aava-Sikk participated successfully in the Junior World Championship 2003-2007 and made last year a huge step up to the WRCar level. They participated in three rallies and scored their first three championship points. The world class Citroën C4 WRC should help them to play at the highest level of the sport and gain some more speed and experience. The main target of the season is to get stunning finishes and decrease the gap with the top drivers to the minimum.
Benoit Nogier, responsible for the Citroën Sport Technologies department explains : “We are delighted that Urmo Aava has decided to choose the Citroën C4 WRC. Citroën Sport Technologies will bring its full technical support to the team running his car on the 10 rounds he has selected for his program in the World Rally championship. This is the start of a new collaboration and we hope for good results with a promising driver throughout the season”.

We were negotiating for a long time with the main teams and today we believe that the 2008 contract with Citroën Sport, who will provide us their huge sporting experience and a winning car, could be the start of a long term cooperation. We will start with our fresh team to do the recce of the "Rallye Monte-Carlo", despite the fact that we will not participate in this event. It will bring us a perfect acclimatization with the team members and a valuable preparation for the 2010 event. Our opening event will be the snowy "Swedish Rally" at the beginning of February. All our fans will be able to see us and the Citroën Sport team in action on the beautiful rally roads of South Estonia", says rally driver Urmo Aava.
