The 5th-6th December saw the 6th running of the popular Rockingham Stages. The event held at the Northamptonshire Rockingham circuit, run by the Thame Motorsport Club & Middlesex County Automobile Club boasted an impressive as ever entry.

At number 1 was 4 time winner of the event & king of the Rock Steve Simpson with his co-drive Simon Hunter (Hyundai Accent WRC).

It was Simpson/Hunter who again dominated the event setting the pace from the off & claiming the victory in the 10 stages (4 Saturday & 6 Sunday) by a margin of nearly 2 minutes over the 306 Maxi kit car pair of Dave West/Keith Hounslow. Third place went to the crowd pleasing Metro 6R4 of John Indri/Dave Engwell a further 1 min 8 sec adrift.
