Simpson Claims Third Victory at Rockingham |

The weekend of the 8th & 9TH Dec saw the fourth running of the Rockingham Stages based at the superb facilities of Rockingham Raceway in Corby, Northants.
With 10 stages over two days (4 on Saturday and 6 on Sunday) with at least two in the dark of Saturday night providing around 85 miles of competitive sections.
The weather added to the challenge with constant rain during leg 1 although the weather improving slightly throughout leg 2.
The 100 car field was lead away by the 2 time winner of the event & recently crowned 2007 MSA National Asphalt Champion Steve Simpson with stand in Co-Driver Simon Hunter (Hyundai Accent WRC).
Simpson/Hunter Dominated throughout the tricky event & eventually won by 1 minute 47 seconds from the newly acquired Ford Focus WRC 02 of Simon Mauger/Brian Cammock.
Dave West/Keith Hounslow completed the podium in their awesome Peugeot 306 Maxi Kit Car a further 31 second adrift.
