S D Roy and Max Hall will return to action in round six of the British Rally Championship (BRC) Stars 1400 Championship when they contest next Saturday's (6 October) Trackrod All Stars Rally.
Milton Keynes driver Roy and Newcastle co-driver Hall will be back behind the wheel of their 1400cc MG ZR on the Pickering-based 68-mile event following a two-month break.
They head into the sixth round in second place in the overall championship standings and second in the FIA class table after claiming consistent results in the four rounds they have finished this season.
Last time out the crew finished sixth overall and third in the FIA class and fifth overall and second in class in the double-header Isle of Man Stars Rally in July and they will be looking to keep their run of solid form going when they swap the tarmac surface to venture back onto the gravel in the North Yorkshire forests to take on the classic stages of the Trackrod All Stars Rally.
"We've had a long break since the Manx and I've not been in the car but I'm hoping to get some time in the car before the Trackrod," Calcutta-born Roy said.
"I didn't finish the event last year due to a problem with the car but I'm targeting a good finish this year and some more points. We're doing quite well in the championship but there are still two scores to drop at the end of the year so we still need to make sure we collect the points.
"I'm looking forward to getting back out and back onto gravel and I want to enjoy the rally and see where the championship goes from there. They are good stages in Yorkshire which I don't have much experience on but hopefully it will be a good event."
