With changeable weather Damian Cole lead the field away on the RDP Welsh Rally running on the military ranges of Epynt in the Brecon Beacons.

Setting the pace at the front Cole in his WRC Hyundai Accent leads the early stages with Mark Morgan in his Escort MkII, Ray Horton in the Darrian and Andy Baker in the flying Peugeot 205 fighting for the remaining positions.

This seemed to be set for the day until Cole booked in to MC3 late leading to 1 minute 30 seconds of penalties dropping him out of contention.

With the win up for grabs the chasing pack attacked the final stage with the Darrian of Horton beating the Evo9 of the fast improving Rob Tout by just 5 seconds leaving the 205 of Andy Baker to the final podium position.
