TobermoryWith only a few weeks to go to the 2007 Tunnock's Tour of Mull, Competitors, Marshalls and Spectators will be faced with arguably the most challenging roads in the UK, added to that 70% of the event is run in the dark and the weather on this beautiful Scottish Island can literally rain sideways.

For the second week in October you would be hard pressed to book your self a bed for the night if you didn't start looking in January. A full entry is preparing to take on the classic Mishish Lochs Stage, 6.5 miles of blind crests, endless tightening corners, hairpins and unrelenting bumps and Yumps. A well built car and a brave heart are required to tame the 156mile route professionally organised by the 2300club from Blackburn.

This specialist rally attracts crews from all over the UK, the locals Mackinnon, Duffy, McGillivray and O'Donnell Jnr will defend there honour against the visitors.

It would be a big risk to bet against one of these four crews taking the win again this year and amazingly three of them are driving the crowd's favourite, MK2 Escorts such is the nature of the stages it's not the most expensive car that win's on Mull.

The warm welcome given to the visiting crews is part of what brings them back each year, many arriving a week early to carry out there recce and to sample the local hospitality.

John Cope and Dennis Biggerstaff will lead the challenge to the local teams in there Subaru WRC's. With David Bogie in his Mistsubishi Evo 9 expected to go well on his first visit to Mull. The Event runs on October 12th,13th and 14th For More info Visit www.2300club.org
