September was a good month for VSM with Trevor and Kenny Bustard claiming a Group N victory in Co.Clare and Donagh Kelly and Kevin Flanagan regaining the lead of the Sunoco Fuels Group N Championship.

In County Clare Trevor and Kenny Bustard finished an excellent 5th overall and 1st in Group N at the Auburn Lodge Hotel Clare Stages Rally on Sunday 20th September. Trevor was testing out a new dogbox during the rally but he was struggling a little but because the stages were fast he didn’t have to use the lower gears so much, which took a bit of pressure off.

In Omagh Donagh Kelly and Kevin Flanagan finished 8th overall and 3rd in Group N at the 2009 McKelvey Asbestos Removal Ltd Bushwacker Rally, round eight of the Hankook MSA Northern Ireland Rally Championship. Donagh went into the rally tied on 48 points with Raymond Johnston, with Neil McCance not far behind on 35 points.

Donagh and Kevin were pleased with the result and happy to keep their Sunoco Fuels Group N championship hopes alive. Donagh and Kevin are now back in the lead of the Group N category on 58 points with Raymond Johnston 2 points behind on 56 then comes Neil McCance on 50 points.

Next on the agenda for Trevor and Kenny is the Seaview Hotel Harvest Rally on Saturday 10th October with Donagh and Kevin set to tackle the FM Contacts Down Rally the following weekend.
