Irish Tarmac Championship front runner Mark Higgins confirmed today that he will start the Safety Direct Galway Rally in a Derek McGarrity run Subaru S12b.

His sponsors including Global Group, Pirelli, T&P Curley Construction, Woodford, Grove Car Sales, Black Rock Ambulances and Sunoco Fuels have pulled together to give Higgins the budget required to renew his battle with Eugene Donnelly. With very little time to the start of this years ITC Mark will not have time to test before next weeks Galway opener.

Negotiations for a car for the rest of the season will take place before the Circuit of Ireland. Confirmation of Higgins and Donnelly is good news for ITC fans as up to a few days ago it looked as though neither would make the start.
