Rain and slippy conditions greeted the capacity entry for Sundays Kerry Motor Club organised Bio Tech Kerry Mini Stages on Sunday.

Last year’s winners Kevin O’Donoghue and Joe O’Leary started the 4 stage event, leading the way from the Banna Beach Hotel, but O’Donoghue had no answer to the early leader Cronin and O'Conaill.

As the conditions worsened the top two crews of Kevin O’Donoghue/Joe O’Leary and the Kellehe brothers swapped seconds in the battle for first place, with 6 seconds between them going in to the last stage the early leaders managed to take the stage win and hold on to first place overall.

With steering problems early in the event last year’s winner Kevin O’Donoghue has to settle for third place.

Top Part West Coast Rally Championship winner Alan Ring and Adrian Deasy took a steady run to 6th place in there borrowed Subaru Impreza N12.
