One of the early entries for the UTS Cheviot National Rally has come from Tracey-Louise Muir and her co-driver husband Garry.
Travelling from their home in Peterhead, near Aberdeen, the couple have clocked up many hundreds of miles contesting their first full season of MSA Asphalt Rally Championship events, of which the Cheviot is the final round.
While several of the rallies have seen them venturing into unfamiliar territory, they are no strangers to the Otterburn Ranges.
In 2007 Tracey-Louise won the Scottish Tarmack Rally Championship outright and finish second in class in the Tyrespot North of England Championship which also includes the Cheviot in its calendar.
Maintaining a 100% finishing record, Tracey-Louise started 2008 driving a Citroen AX and then changed mid-season to a Peugeot 106. She has long since put herself into an unassailable position in her Championship class and will be hoping that the Cheviot will provide her with the opportunity to improve her standing in the 'Front-Wheel Drive' category as well.
When not driving the length and breadth of the country towing their rally car to and from events, Tracey-Louise is the Service Manager for a disability charity, while Garry works as a hydraulic technician.
