Ludlow Castle Motor Club is pleased to announce that the 5th G3RS Gravel Sprint will take place in the classic Mortimer forest / Haye Park complex near Ludlow on Sunday 20th January 2008.

As in previous years, donations from the event will be made to the County Air Ambulance.

The 2008 event will have stages of six miles, an increase on previous years, but competitors are reminded that no Co-drivers are allowed on the event so it is all down to the skill of the Driver.

The format will be the same as in previous years:

In the morning drivers will be taken around the stage in convoy on a familiarisation run.  Then they have an untimed practice run, followed by two timed runs on which results are based.

In the afternoon the procedure is repeated but in the opposite direction as the stage is reversed.

Previous entrants have included such well known rally drivers as Shaun Gardener (2006 BTRDA Silverstone Tyres Gold Star Champion and winner of the event in 2004 and 2006), Neil Weaver (2006 Xspec 1400 Champion), Nigel Griffiths (2003 & 2005 winner of the event), Graham Middleton, Jon Ballinger, Nik Elsmore, Michael O’Brien and Richard Gough to name a few.

Rising young stars such as Henri Grehan and Joe Price have also competed on previous events.
